#WECAN Masterclass: How to be confident at work
#WECAN (Women Empowered through Coaching and Networking) project aims to enhance the resilience and growth of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) by building the leadership skills, capabilities and opportunities of women in the Leeds City Region.

According to research by My Confidence Matters, 79% of women regularly lack confidence at work.

There is no gap between performance or ability in men and women; the difference is a matter of self-perception.

In this session you will:

  • Develop confidence when engaging with an organisation’s internal and external customers
  • Build rapport in a remote and hybrid working environment via email, on the telephone and face to face
  • Develop tips to navigate the business world successfully

Speaker

The session will be led by #WECAN Delivery Lead Kim Sanderson. Kim has over 25 years’ experience of teaching in further education. Kim currently works as a Programme Developer and Assessor at the Leadership Centre in Leeds Business School at Leeds Beckett University. Her role involves the design, delivery and assessment of leadership and management courses for businesses. Prior to joining Leeds Beckett University, she worked in the retail and further education sector and has experience of leading and managing teams in both.

The session will be hosted using MS Teams - a meeting link will be sent to you in advance.

It is relevant for women at every stage of their life and career including those who are:

  • Leading teams or projects
  • Running early stage or more established businesses
  • Shaping their career direction
  • Building confidence or exploring what comes next
