#WECAN (Women Empowered through Coaching and Networking) project aims to enhance the resilience and growth of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) by building the leadership skills, capabilities and opportunities of women in the Leeds City Region.

Planning marketing and communication is critically important to business and organisational success.

Session Overview

Are you struggling to forward plan and anticipate your marketing and communications needs? Taking time out to plan not only helps you plan ahead, but saves you time in the ling run!

This session is a pragmatic step by step guide to a systematic approach to planning your organisations communications. It helps to target more successfully your marketing and communications resources for the future.

Session Objectives

  • Learn how to use simple templates to help you build a plan
  • Identify the steps of the planning process
  • Learn how to use research to effectively manage messages and channels of communication

Speaker

This workshop will be led by Shirley Beresford, a Communications Marketing Professional and Academic. Currently lecturing at Leeds Business School at Leeds Beckett University, Shirley specialises in strategic communications and arts marketing and is also an examiner for the CIM (Chartered Institute of Marketing) and CIPR (Chartered Institute of Public Relations).
