Learn the key aspects of budget compilation, why it might be important for an organisation to prepare a cash budget as well as an accruals-based budget and the importance of budget management throughout the financial year.

Speaker
This session will be delivered by Sujana Shafique, a senior lecturer in accounting at Leeds Business School.
After completing BBA and MBA majoring in Finance, Sujana worked in the industry as Finance Manager for a number of years, completing professional accounting qualification (ACCA).
She then moved to academia and joined Leeds Beckett University as a Senior Lecturer in Accounting. She has also taught at the University of York and Sheffield Hallam University as Associate Lecturer. Sujana also has experience of teaching overseas and has taught in India and China.
Sujana is a member of the widening participation in higher education committee and is subject group representative in Leeds Business School academic committee.
