Alistair Brownlee OBE is a double Olympic triathlon champion. In an illustrious 18-year career, Alistair is the only athlete to defend an Olympic triathlon gold, making him the most successful triathlete in Olympic history. He was crowned world triathlon champion twice, has won the European title four times and the Commonwealth Games at Glasgow 2014.
In total, Alistair amassed 22 World Series gold medals. Alistair helped to inspire and drive world class athletes to new levels and his unprecedented success led to the growth in reputation of Leeds as a triathlon city. Alistair and his brother Jonny set up the Brownlee Foundation in 2014 to inspire children from all backgrounds to experience triathlon, enjoy sport and lead an active lifestyle.
