Some of my strongest memories of studying at Leeds Beckett come from my student residential in the first year of my course. Spending a week in the Lake District with all the lecturers and students, doing many of the sports I already loved, was the best initiation to university possible.
I made lifelong friends and solid bonds with my lecturers, which made the transition into university life so much easier as it instantly gave us memories and shared experience we could connect through for many of the challenges that came ahead. I remember sitting round the table with Dave Jackson, Steve Robinson and Mick Totten, sharing stories of adventures during that week. Then over 15 years later, sitting around the same table once again with Dave Jackson, this time as the senior instructor leading the program.
To say thank you would never be enough to show appreciation of how much the team at Leeds Beckett did in guiding and shaping me on my journey and giving me the confidence and belief to go on an achieve everything I did within my sport and in the outdoor industry as a whole.
