I'm Emily Campbell. I'm a GB weightlifter. I was the first British woman to win an Olympic medal. And then I went on to win another one in Paris and yeah, won a few more medals and probably one of British, Britain's most famous weightlifters.
Yeah, it's very special. I mean if anyone's seen the list of names, there's some really, really cool names on there and some people that have done some fantastic things for sport and achieved some incredible things. So obviously more than honoured to be part of that. And yeah, it's always nice to come back to the place where it all started for me, you know. I started weightlifting on this site, you know, probably did my first snatch and first clean and jerk here. So it's pretty special to obviously be back here today.
Yeah, I mean, it already sucked me in when I came, you know, and that was obviously 10 years ago. So now to obviously have this fantastic building of facilities and then obviously have a war with all these amazing athletes that actually studied here and have gone on to achieve incredible things. Surely that's got to inspire more people to want to be a part of that.
I think just stay humble and stay on the track. Like it's not all roses and it'll always work out the way that you want it to. But you know, if you give it your all, no one can ask any more of that.
