Tom Williams is the former Chief Operating Officer of parkrun Global, where he managed parkrun’s global development strategy and operational processes across all 19 existing parkrun territories. Tom helped to establish Woodhouse Moor parkrun in 2007, the first event outside of London and the fourth parkrun in the world, joining parkrun full-time in 2011. Tom is also the founder of Leeds-based running club Hyde Park Harriers and the co-founder of the popular running podcast Marathon Talk. Tom left parkrun in 2024 and is co-founder and Director of Participate World, advising organisations worldwide and sitting on the UK Government's Working Group for Sport Diplomacy. A multiple Ironman finisher and endurance athlete, Tom's proudest athletic achievement was completing the Comrades ultramarathon in South Africa with his father.
