What are the 5 best things about studying in Leeds?
- The vast culture, there is always something going on, whether it’s in the theatre, music halls and concerts
- People are always there to help, there is someone there for every issue you may have
- My favourite thing to do was sit in the library on a Sunday with a hot drink and a bagel, it’s so quiet and peaceful in there. Everyone respects each other’s space and the fact that we’re all getting on with our studies
- Leeds is an ever-growing city; it’s constantly adapting and developing
- There are new businesses sprouting up everywhere which means there’s always lots of opportunities and things to get involved in
-
Can you tell us about anything that inspired you during your studies at Leeds Beckett?
In my final year of BA Theatre and Performance, the pandemic hit, which meant my final piece had to be done online. This opened up a whole new door for me, of filming and interviewing and that is what ultimately led me to MSc Journalism.
-
Have you participated in any social activities at Leeds Beckett?
I volunteered for Fix In Art which is in Thessaloniki Greece. I was there for 2 weeks during their green week and learnt so much about reusing and taking lead in group situations.

What advice would you give to someone from your country thinking of studying or currently studying in the UK?
I would say to not be afraid to do something on your own. If you’re interested in something but don’t have someone to go with you, you shouldn’t stop yourself from going because who knows what you might find.
