Awards to celebrate achievements of Leeds Beckett employees
The awards ceremony takes place on 20 March 2017 at the Rose Bowl and will be hosted by BBC television broadcaster Harry Gration.
Employees who have been shortlisted each embody the University’s values by being inspiring, creative, enterprising, purposeful, professional and respectful, in different ways within their roles. It is a real accolade to be nominated for an Achieving Excellence Award by the colleagues and/or students who value the work that employees do and feel their contribution should receive wider recognition.
There are eight categories in which individuals or teams can be nominated; Course Leader of the Year; Excellence in Customer Service; Inspiring Teacher of the Year; Outstanding Contribution to Enterprise and Innovation; Researcher of the Year; Team of the Year; Transformational Leadership and Unsung Hero. Shortlisted candidates are listed on our Achieving Excellence Awards webpage.
Speaking ahead of the awards, Leeds Beckett Chancellor Sir Bob Murray CBE, commented: "It is pleasure to be a part of these important staff awards once again, as we rightly celebrate the hard work, dedication and achievements of our colleagues. The university is all about our people – both staff and students – and that’s what makes us special. Congratulations and good luck to those who have been shortlisted.”
