Yorkshire Bank Honorary Chair to deliver public lecture
The event will be held in the Rose Bowl at the University’s city campus, from 6-7pm on Tuesday 7 March.
Richard has had a wide-ranging career focusing latterly in banking in some public sector roles as well as more than 20 years of experience working in media and television including Granada TV and Yorkshire-Tyne Tees.
Paul Houghton, Principal Lecturer at Leeds Business School, commented: “Richard will be discussing the operation of the board and how the decisions, behaviours and attitudes affect the very heart of an organisation.
“Drawing on his vast experience, the lecture will be a great opportunity to broaden guest’s knowledge of board operations, and there will be an opportunity to ask Richard questions at the end too.”
Richards’s non-executive career includes chairing a small digital media company, as well as being chair of Sheffield Hallam University, deputy chair of Yorkshire Forward, chair of Yorkshire Innovation, and chair of two NHS foundation trusts.
Richard has been Yorkshire Bank chair since 2004, and was appointed chair of the Risk Committee and senior independent director of what is now known as CYBG PLC (Clydesdale Bank and Yorkshire Bank Group) in the same year.
