Learn a language at Leeds Beckett this summer

Running from Monday 5 June, a series of weekly one and a half hour ‘Conversation Classes’, which offer students the opportunity to learn French, German, Greek, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese, Russian or Spanish, are taking place.

The daytime and evening courses, which take place over a five-week period, allow students to take part in group work discussions and debates that cater to their level of language competence.  Costing just £70, the classes are accessible to everyone and are presented at a range of different levels, from elementary to proficient. 

The classes, which will be made up of no more than 15 students, are taught by tutors in an engaging and interactive way.  There are a range of lessons based at both Leeds Beckett’s Headingley and City campuses.

Maisie Coates, who studied Spanish on a part-time Leeds Beckett languages course, said: “My course was a great way to combine studying a new language with meeting new people. My tutor was amazing and she taught us really useful language skills in a fun environment. I’m travelling to Spain later on this year and I’m planning to try out some of my new conversational skills.”
