INSIDE/OUT lecture series returns to Leeds Beckett
The series of lectures, which runs twice a year, is returning to Leeds with a select number of international and British poets, artists and researchers.
Organised by Professor Simon Morris from the School of Art, Architecture and Design, INSIDE/OUT offers a platform for internationally recognised practitioners to come and talk about their practice.
The first lecture is tomorrow, Wednesday 3 October, when Professor Craig Saper of UMBC, Baltimore, USA, will focus on poetry and perception.
This year’s programme also celebrates two book launches, as Leeds Beckett lecturer Nasser Hussain launches his poetry collection ‘SKY WRI TEI NGS’, alongside US poet and author Steven Zultanski who will be launching his publication ‘On the Literary Means of Representing the Powerful as Powerless’. These publications will be launched on Wednesday 17 October at the event ‘Ears have no lids’.
The INSIDE/OUT lectures run every Wednesday throughout October.
Several other artists are featured in the programme for October. This includes internationally renowned conceptual artist Kimsooja, the multidisciplinary artistic team Snæbjörnsdóttir/Wilson and Senior Lecturer at the university, Dr Sean Ashton.
