Boost your employability skills through new mentoring course
Second and third-year students from the school have the opportunity to gain an ILM Level 2 Award in Effective Mentoring Skills, with forty places available.
Those selected will learn how to create a fun online network for new students as well as some practical life and management skills. Completing the programme will give a boost to your CV and help catch an employer's eye. What’s more, the award, which would have originally cost up to £700, is available free.
In addition to boosting employability, the award will benefit both new and returning students. In times that feel uncertain having a trained student mentor will give them a friendly face to turn to. It will help them to feel welcome at Leeds Beckett.
The award will consist of four two hour online training sessions in August and September. There will be two assessments to pass the award. Students of all backgrounds are welcome to apply, with applicants selected on their desire to support new starters.
Sign up today and boost your life and career skills while helping other students in the process.
The closing date for applications is Monday 17 August. You can sign up online via MyHub.
