Leeds Beckett mature student returns to University fifteen years after study
He chose Leeds Beckett because it was the perfect fit for location and price, and due to the fact that the course was certified with the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health.
“Not only has the attainment of an accredited degree been essential, but up-to-date knowledge of legislation has proved vital, which employers recognise and value.”
Whilst Paul was studying he worked as Health and Safety Manager and Environmental Health Practitioner with Hilton Hotels. After completing his Masters, he is now employed as an Environmental Health Officer with Salford City Council.
“As a mature student, the decision to return to education is daunting. However, learning never stops. Believe in your own abilities and you can achieve your goals. The new friends you meet will benefit from your past experience as you will benefit from new skills that they can teach you.”
