Student approval sees Leeds Beckett ranked in top 30 English universities

LBU ranks 27 out of 123 traditional Higher Education institutions in the survey, which gives final year students the chance to look back on their higher education experience and share their views.

Leeds Beckett's score is above the national average on all questions, which cover everything from teaching and facilities to assessments and preparation for careers.

The survey results also show Leeds Beckett has improved in every aspect of the student experience, beating its own strongest ever performance in the 2023 survey.

Teaching at the university comes in for particular praise, with staff scoring 91% for their explanations of work and 86% for support with learning. Leeds Beckett's facilities are also rated strongly by students, with library resources (90%), IT facilities (88%) and specialist facilities (87%) receiving high scores.

Leeds Beckett University Vice Chancellor Professor Peter Slee, said: "It is very positive to receive another endorsement from our students. It is particularly encouraging to improve in every aspect of the student experience, even out-performing the high standards we achieved last year.

"Thank you to all the students who shared their views. We value this feedback and will use it to continue improving teaching, learning and the student experience at Leeds Beckett."

The NSS results follow Leeds Beckett's top positions in the 2024 StudentCrowd University Awards, which are based on student reviews.
