Leeds Beckett University courses maintain high rankings from prestigious international ratings system
For the fifth successive year, these areas have been included in the top 100 in the QS World University Rankings by Subject. The annual rankings are designed to inform future students and to help them find the best universities in their subject of interest.
The 2025 QS rankings are the largest yet, taking in data from over 5200 institutions, ranking 1747 of them across 55 narrow and five broad subject areas, with a total in excess of 21,000 entries.
QS use five key weighted indicators when determining their World University Rankings, including academic reputation, employer reputation and international research network. In addition to the university's two top 100 rankings, Leeds Beckett also has a 5-star 'excellent' rating from QS Stars, their system that takes into account teaching, employability and internationalisation, among other criteria.
Peter Mackreth, Dean of Carnegie School of Sport, said: "We're delighted to have maintained our position in the top 100 universities for both sport-related subjects and hospitality and leisure management. The ranking is recognition of the continued impact our work has, through our graduates in their careers, our research, and the industry partnerships we have to underpin our portfolio."
