Leeds Beckett University appoints new Director of Estates and Facilities
Grant will join Leeds Beckett University in early 2026, where he will lead the strategic vision, development, and management of the university's physical campuses and facilities - driving modernisation and sustainability.
With more than eighteen years experience in Higher Education estates, most recently at the University of Lincoln, Grant has developed significant expertise and regularly advises executive boards and represents the sector at a national level.
Grant began his career in sustainability and environmental management and became the first sustainability professional to be appointed as a Director of Estates in UK higher education. A chartered environmentalist (CEnv, MIEMA), he has delivered award-winning projects and embedded environmental responsibility into estate operations.
Tracey Lancaster, Deputy Vice Chancellor of Leeds Beckett University, said: "I am delighted to welcome Grant to Leeds Beckett. His skills, experience and passion for sector leading estate management will be a great asset to the university, as well as his dedication to creating inclusive, sustainable environments that empower people and support institutional ambitions."
Grant Anderson said: "Leeds Beckett University is an anchor institution for the city and region - its strong reputation and its clear vision for the future inspired me to apply for this opportunity.
"My commitment to customer service, team development and positive leadership will ensure that I act as a role model for the university’s values and ambitions.
"I look forward to meeting the members of the panel and beginning my role to help shape the next chapter."
