It was a successful opening round to Beckett’s cup campaign, with huge successes for Beckett’s clubs.
Lacrosse Men brush aside Cardiff in Last 16 round
Beckett's Men's Lacrosse team stormed to a 22-0 whitewash over rivals Cardiff in their opening BUCS Lacrosse Championship Cup match.
The men's team went into the last 16 round on the back of a strong league campaign, finishing 4th in the BUCS Premier North competition.
Beckett's big performance over Cardiff sets them up perfectly for their Quarter Final encounter at Bristol next week.

Beckett's teams march on to the next round of the BUCS Rugby Trophy
Beckett's men's 2nd team edged an exciting 31-20 clash with Glasgow at Headingley Campus to advance to the quarter finals of their BUCS Rugby Trophy cup-run.
Beckett were in the lead throughout the match but were met with a dogged Glasgow side that wouldn't give in and threatened the home side's lead throughout.
Victory for Beckett sees them advance to the Quarter Finals where a home tie against the University of Sheffield.

Elsewhere Beckett's Women's Rugby Union team ran riot at Nottingham Trent, running out emphatic 52-5 winners against the Midlands team.
Beckett's big victory sets up a huge inter-city clash with rivals University of Leeds next week in the Semi-Finals of the BUCS Women's Rugby Union Trophy.

Meanwhile in the BUCS Super Rugby competition, Beckett endured a tough 18-10 defeat to last season's champions Hartpury.
Beckett will host Northumbria in the next round of the competition.

Three Beckett teams advance to the next round of their competitions
Beckett’s Women’s 1sts pulled off a remarkable comeback victory against Nottingham to advance to the next stage of the BUCS Tennis Championship Cup.
Beckett looked to be down and out but the team held their nerve to claw back the most unlikely of turnarounds – winning 7-6 in the final shootout. The ladies will now travel to Durham for their Quarter Final tie.
Beckett’s Men’s 1sts emphatically downed rivals Edinburgh University 10 sets to 2 to confirm their place in the Quarter Finals of the BUCS Tennis Championship Cup competition.
Beckett fought hard for their win, continuing their fine form from their BUCS National League campaign after dismissing Exeter 12-0 last time out and have now earned themselves an away fixture against Bath in next week's Quarter Finals.
Elsewhere Beckett's Men's second team brushed aside Manchester 8-0 with ease in their BUCS Tennis Trophy competition, earning themselves an away fixture against Nottingham in the Quarter Finals. Beckett's 2nd's could have been facing Beckett's 3rd team but the 3rd team were dispatched 10-2 against Nottingham in the same competition.
