Fuel the growth of your business with Leeds Met
'Exploring the Use of Technology to Fuel Innovation and Business Growth' will take place on Wednesday 24 April at the University's Broadcasting Place and will examine how businesses can be given a competitive edge through understanding the impact design, innovation and technology can have on economic growth. The session will also explain how expertise available at universities such as Leeds Met can boost business success and help secure Government funding to invest in innovation through Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (KTPs).
A keynote speech by Clive Grinyer, Director of Customer Experience within the Innovation Team at Cisco Solutions, will address the importance of using design and technology to create both customer and business value. Clive designs customer experiences across retail, financial services and public sector projects. His recent projects include a number of digital installations including the Interior Inspirer for Marks and Spencer Home, the Style Me digital mirror for John Lewis, the Dialogue Cafe public video installation and work in the Netherlands and Wales on digital services for an ageing population.
Jon Dean, Regional Advisor for Knowledge Transfer Partnerships, will talk through how to access Government funding to get innovation projects off the ground. Leeds Metropolitan University academic experts in advanced technology and design will showcase their expertise in areas including: mobile technology; app development; cloud computing; green IT; and new models of interaction with technology; followed by the opportunity to network and discuss individual needs.
The event begins at 5:30pm with welcome drinks and canapés with the seminar beginning at 6pm. To book your place, please go toleedsmet_industryevent.eventbrite.co.uk
