Mervyn King appointed as honorary president of research centre
Centre Director, Professor Simon Robinson, commented: "Professor King is one the foremost thinkers on governance and leadership in the world. His three Reports on governance for South Africa have been ground-breaking and he now chairs both the Global Reporting Initiative and the International Integrated Reporting Council. The watchword of both organisations is integration: integrated thinking, reporting and leadership. Mervyn began his career in the law, becoming Nelson Mandela's 'favourite judge'. Hence, he brings a passion for dialogue across all sectors about good governance.
"The new Centre aims to focus on integrating values, theory and practice, focused in good, shared judgement, building on research into integrity and tools for governance and leadership."
