Queen Square Wellness Centre celebrates five years
Based in the heart of Leeds, the Queen Square Wellness Centre is the first teaching clinic for an undergraduate osteopathy course in the north of England and offers a range of therapies available to any member of the public.
Treatments are delivered under the expert guidance of leading practitioners, by Leeds Met undergraduates studying Acupuncture, Herbal Medicine and Osteopathy.
Chris Hudson, Associate Dean in the Faculty of Health and social Sciences, said: "We are extremely proud of Queen Wellness Centre and are delighted to be able to offer our customers the very best treatment led by highly skilled academic tutors at affordable prices. We are keen to raise awareness of our city centre presence and have appointments available at all times of the working day.
"The centre's patient feedback is exceptional and I would urge anyone who is considering alternative therapy for pain, illness or injury to come and talk to us - the welcoming atmosphere is second to none."
Mr Hudson added that treatment prices have been lowered, with osteopathy sessions costing just £10 per appointment.
Osteopathic treatment harnesses the body's ability to self-heal and patients are holistically assessed, managed and often given advice on lifestyle changes. A variety of manual methods are used including massage-like soft tissue techniques and joint articulation.
Since the Wellness Centre launched, more than 1,000 patients have been treated by Leeds Metropolitan clinical tutors and students.
The centre also offers a professional coaching service for individuals and organisations, which is delivered by fully qualified coaches.
To mark five years of service the Wellness Centre is offering a free osteopathy consultation and treatment session to the first 40 new customers who contact the centre by February 8 in answer to this offer.
