Our City Centre campus is centrally located in Leeds City Centre, spread over several buildings around Woodhouse Lane. We’re just a few minutes’ walk from the main shopping centres and First Direct Arena.

Public transport
The City Campus is just a 15-minute walk from Leeds Train Station. It is well connected on many bus routes across Leeds.

By Bike
You can hire a bike from us to get around while you're at Leeds Beckett.
Bike Hire
Bike hire contracts are for up to three months at a time. If you need the bike for longer you can simply renew the contract. The cost is £50 for the first hire period plus a £50 deposit. If you decide to renew your contract for another three months the cost is £20 and the final three months is £10. You can usually keep your bike into the summer until we need them back for maintenance.
Parking
Parking is available at our Rosebowl car park at City Campus. The car park is open Monday - Sunday 6am to 1:30am
Costs:
- Monday to Friday before 3pm: £1.90 per hour
- Monday to Friday after 3pm: £1.70 per hour
- Weekend: £1.50 per hour
Students with accessibility needs may be eligible for free parking or a parking permit by speaking with the Disability Advice team.

Where to eat and drink
There’s a lot of choices for breakfast, lunch, or a caffeine kick at City Campus.
A variety of hot and cold food counters including hot breakfast sandwiches, salad bar, chicken shack, burrito bar and noodles. Open 8am – 4.30pm Monday - Friday. Average lunch costs £4
Barista coffees, porridge, fruit topped granola and fresh pastries. Open 8am – 4pm Monday - Friday. A coffee and a pastry costs around £3
Right next door to the library, the café serves coffee, cake, and freshly made sandwiches. Open 8am – 4pm Monday - Thursday, and 8am – 3.30pm on Thursdays. A meal deal of a sandwich, crisps or snack bar and a drink costs £3.50
Our newest café in the Leeds School of Arts building serves up hot drinks and hearty breakfast bagels and bakes. Open 8am – 3pm Monday - Friday. A coffee costs around £2.
City Campus Library
Where: The Sheila Silver Library is located in the Leslie Silver Building on City Campus.
When: The library is open 24/7 and staff are on campus 9am – 7pm Monday - Friday and 11am – 17pm Saturday - Sunday.
What: There are bookable study spaces for group or individual study, computers to log in to and docking stations for your own laptop, printing facilities, an IT helpdesk, and of course books to borrow. You just need your student card to access the library and use the printers (which are free).
Childcare
If you’re a parent or guardian here’s some information on childcare support:
- You’re able to bring your children onto campus within social spaces. Children aren’t generally permitted in teaching situations, although it’s worth speaking to your course tutor to see what’s possible under unique circumstances.
- There are baby changing facilities within the Rosebowl building and highchairs are available at Beckett Kitchen.
- With every adult meal purchased at Beckett Kitchen, you can get a free children's meal.
- Students are welcome to breastfeed/express milk anywhere on campus, but should you prefer a more private area, you are welcome to use ‘The Livingroom’ space situated [TBC].
