A £149,900 project Funded by the UK Government Foreign and Commonwealth Development Office (FCDO) - Cyber, Information and Tech Threats Directorate to design and implement a harmonized, evidence-based cybercrime deterrence framework for the African Union that strengthens legal, institutional, and technological capacities across member states, thereby enhancing continental cybersecurity, trust, and resilience. The project is aligned to UK National Cyber Strategy objectives on:
- strengthening resilience of international partners
- working with the African Union
- influencing development and implementation of international governance and standards frameworks
By supporting a continental, rights-based cybercrime deterrence framework, the UK plays a pivotal role in reducing global cyber risk and advancing the rule of law.
