Concordat on Research Integrity

Leeds Beckett University is committed to fulfilling the principles of the Concordat to Support Research Integrity which provides a comprehensive framework for responsible research conduct and governance.

Annual Research Integrity Statements

In compliance with the Concordat to Support Research Integrity, the University publishes an annual Statement on Research Integrity which is considered by the Audit Committee. The Statement provides a summary of actions and activities that have been undertaken to support and strengthen understanding and application of research integrity issues.

Research misconduct

Under our university’s compliance framework, the Board of Governors delegates oversight of investigations into allegations of misconduct in research to the Audit Committee. An annual report is considered by the Audit Committee each year which considers a high-level statement on any formal investigations of research misconduct that have been undertaken.

Research ethics resources, support and tools

Leeds Beckett University (LBU) colleagues can access more support on our Research ethics webpage via the intranet and should also consider their data management plans as they relate to research ethics, more information can be found on the Research data page via The Library at LBU.

The UK Research Integrity Office (UKRIO) offers a range of support and guidance around research ethics which can be accessed via their Research integrity resources webpage and Publications webpage. Included on this site are researcher checklists of ethics applications for research, good practice and guides.

There are a number of ethics toolkits that may be of interest to you in considering and reviewing your research.
