About

Dave has been a journalist for over 30 years, working in print, online, radio and television. He's worked for local, national and international organisations, reporting on news and sport. His work also ranges from council meetings to war zones, interviewing footballers to prime ministers.

Dave wanted to be a journalist from being a paper boy, delivering news through people's letterbox. His reporting career started in newspapers, then onto radio and onto TV.

Dave has written stories for papers in Worksop, Scarborough, Sheffield and Derby, and a press agency in Leicester. He then moved into broadcasting at BBC Radio Derby and 5Live, then onto TV at Border TV, Yorkshire TV and ITN. He has reported on national and international news, and reported from war zones in Cambodia and Peru.

Dave is also a sports journalist, working on ITV network programmes, and worked as a sports commentator on football, basketball and tennis. He has been a reporter, news editor, sports editor, and producer of news and entertainment shows.

Dave became a journalism lecturer over 10 years ago, but still continues to work in the industry.
