Margaret is a Senior Lecturer with 17 years’ work experience in Higher Education and a Fellow (2005) and a Senior Fellow (2015) of Higher Education Academy (HEA). During this period Margaret have taken on different leadership roles such as coordinator for overseas delivery in Hong Kong, Final year Under Graduate Project leadership, Deputy Coordinator Academic Integrity, College Validations Panel Membership to mention but a few.

Margaret is an active researcher with interest in Strategic Digital Technologies and Technology Enhanced Learning. She has several years’ experience in Course Leadership in Information Systems and Business Information Management courses playing a key role in curriculum development of these in the past. She has developed a new current course Business Information Technology which received its approval to run in July 2012 and this has added to the computing course portfolio.

Margaret is pursuing a part- time PhD research degree, strengthening her research profile in Digital pedagogies and Technology Enhanced Learning. Her research focuses on use of Technological pedagogical and Content Knowledge in computing subject area in effective technology integration around specific subjects and understanding the impact of it.

Research interests

Margaret has an interest in Digital Technologies that impact on teaching, learning and assessment and the impact it has on learners, policies and practices in HE. She is collaborating with other leading researchers in this field whilst undertaking her PhD studies, understanding digital pedagogies and content knowledge integration. Margaret has worked on JISC and currently working on Neural-Pathways Enhanced Teaching and Learning Framework (NPL) project.
