Dr Natalie Moore is Head of Economics at Leeds Business School, specialising in industrial and behavioural economics, risk management, curriculum innovation, and inclusive teaching that equips students for global careers through real-world learning and industry collaboration.

Dr Natalie Moore is Head of Economics at Leeds Business School, where she provides academic leadership for the Economics and Data Analytics subject group. She is responsible for the development and delivery of undergraduate and postgraduate curricula and contributes to school-wide curriculum modernisation, recruitment, and quality enhancement initiatives.

Natalie has over 20 years experience in higher education and industry, having held senior academic leadership roles across both Russell Group and post-92 universities. She is passionate about inclusive, innovative, and globally engaged education that enriches the student experience and equips graduates for the future world of work.

Before joining Leeds Beckett, Natalie held a number of academic leadership roles at Nottingham University Business School, including Associate Professor in Industrial Economics, Director of Undergraduate Programmes, and Director of Industrial Economics. She led large-scale teaching teams across the three international campuses, established partnerships with professional bodies, and was recognised with multiple awards for excellence in teaching and student experience. She has extensive experience securing industry accreditations, embedding SAP ERPsim into curriculum design, and managing international exchange partnerships.

She is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (Advance HE), a certified ERPsim Instructor (Level 2), and a member of the SAP University Alliances Academic Board for the UK, Ireland and Nordics, supporting curriculum innovation and collaboration with industry.

Natalie also leads the School’s international partnership with Zhejiang University of Technology (ZJUT) and contributes to institutional strategy and policy through her roles on the Educational Outcomes Group and the Regulations Advisory Group.

Research interests

Natalie’s expertise lies in industrial and behavioural economics, corporate social responsibility (CSR), stakeholder behaviour, and market structure. Her research examines ethical consumerism, the relationship between corporate social and financial performance, and experimental decision-making. She holds a PhD in Business and Management from the University of Nottingham, where she completed ESRC-funded research exploring asymmetric information in CSR markets.
