About

Registered Mental Health nurse with expertise in perinatal mental health, simulation-based education, and attachment theory. Having previously worked in inpatient perinatal mental health care before moving on to practice development and into Higher education.

Grace is a registered Mental Health Nurse with a clinical background in perinatal and forensic mental health. Her interests lie in attachment theory and trauma-informed care, which inform both her clinical perspective and educational practice. Before transitioning into higher education, she worked as a Practice Development Nurse within the NHS, where she developed a strong passion for teaching and supporting the development of healthcare professionals.

She joined higher education in 2022 and currently focuses on clinical skills teaching and simulation-based learning. She is particularly interested in the use of innovative and technology-enhanced teaching methods to prepare nursing students for the evolving landscape of healthcare.

Outside of work, she enjoys spending time outdoors and tending to her allotment. She values mindfulness and regularly makes time for reflection as part of her personal and professional wellbeing.
