Jenny is a Senior Lecturer in Nursing. She completed her BSc in Adult Nursing at Bournemouth University. MSc at the University of Manchester. She currently teaches part-time alongside completing her PhD at the University of Manchester.

Jenny is a Senior Lecturer in Nursing. She joined Leeds Beckett University in 2021 and has taught across the mental health nursing, adult nursing and trainee nursing associate courses with a particular focus on the apprenticeship programmes. She now works part-time teaching level 4 and postgraduate skills training, alongside the completion of her PhD at the University of Manchester.

Jenny brings wealth of expertise from working within the NHS across multiple trusts. Her clinical experience started in theatres where she worked as an anaesthetic nurse and a scrub nurse. She then moved into systematic anti-cancer treatment working as a band 5 and band 6. During the COVID-19 pandemic Jenny worked in multiple trusts and specialities building foundational nursing skills.

Research interests

Much of Jenny's research interest lie in health inequality and inclusion health. She is particularly interested in gender and feminist theory in application to healthcare roles, settings and experience. Jenny is currently undergoing mixed methods research with patient and public involvement and has built expertise in literature reviews.
