Joanne is a member of the RICS and the IWFM. Her professional career as a quantity surveyor has seen her work for a number of local authorities in both the design and commercial teams. Her wide and varied industry experience allows her to be able to use real life examples within her teaching to enhance teaching delivery.

Joanne is a member of the RICS and the IWFM. Her professional career as a quantity surveyor has seen her work for a number of local authorities in both the design and commercial teams. Her wide and varied industry experience allows her to be able to use real life examples within her teaching to enhance teaching delivery.

Joanne is a member of the RICS and the IWFM. Her professional career as a quantity surveyor has seen her work for a number of local authorities in both the design and commercial teams. Her wide and varied industry experience allows her to be able to use real life examples within her teaching to enhance teaching delivery.

Joanne is a chartered surveyor who has enjoyed a varied career in both the public and private sector of the industry.

During her career she has been involved in a number of large refurbishment and new build projects for local authorities and further education establishments.

Joanne has had an interest in education for many years and as part of this interest served as Chair of Governors at a local primary school for over 10 years and is still active as a Foundation Governor for a selective boys grammar school where she is also Chair of the Finance and Resources Committee.


Research interests

Joanne has a passion for student engagement and the student experience and is working towards delivering project based teaching to develop the employability skills of graduates.
