About

Leanne Buckley is a Senior Lecturer for Digital Transformative Education in the Carnegie School of Education. She undertakes research in digital emotional intelligence and digital wellbeing, and lectures in the areas of digital learning and teacher education.

Leanne has worked in education since 2008 and has a background in supporting, and then transitioning into teaching students with social, emotional and physical disabilities. Leanne's career in education started in the FE sector as a Support Officer and culminated in a senior management position whereby she was the strategic lead for Teaching, Learning and CPD at University Campus Oldham. Alongside this she lead and managed the Faculty of Health, Education and Community, which comprised of Foundation Degrees, BA (Hons) Degrees and Masters provision in Health and Social Care, Teacher Education, Early Years and Education and Children and Young People. She is now a Senior Lecturer in the Carnegie School of Education and Level Lead for the Distance-Learning PGCE.

Leanne is currently studying for her PhD where her research is centred around digital emotional intelligence in online educational leadership.
