Lex Riley

Lex is an experienced Research Development Manager, with over 8 years service at LBU. She previously worked for almost 10 years in research support at the University of Leeds. She specialises in large collaborative bids to funders such as the National Institute of Health Research, the Research Councils and Innovate (UKRI), and large charitable organisations, e.g., Cancer Research UK and the Alzheimer's Trust.

She has written and presented training sessions on bid development and research process at LBU and the wider HEI Community/environment and is actively involved in supporting peer review for increased quality of submitted research applications.

Lex is also an expert on full Economic Costing under the Transparent Approach to Costing rules and cost recovery within grant budgets.
