Mark is a Part Time Lecturer at Leeds Law School having joined in September 2025.
From 2006, Mark was a Senior Lecturer in Law in the Department of Law and Criminology at Sheffield Hallam University and held several senior roles, including Programme and Course leadership positions, in addition to Module Leadership roles at undergraduate and postgraduate level. For many years Mark was also the Departmental Lead for Markets and Recruitment, an Academic Advisor, and he was an External Examiner at Keele University for four years. In 2024/25 Mark worked on law projects including reviewing the programmes of a university in London and latterly an SQE preparation course provider.
Prior to his academic career, Mark held several senior roles in the parcel distribution industry, notably as the UK’s General Manager of Pick-Up & Delivery at Securicor Omega Express and as UK Operations Director at Business Express.
Currently in his teaching role, Mark brings his knowledge and experience to all levels of the undergraduate programme. He has a particular interest in developing students as they join university and preparing them for the world of work. To that end Mark is currently involved in a Careers Coaching project.
