Originally from Northern Ireland, Rosie moved to Leeds in 2008 to commence her studies in French and Music at the University of Leeds. Upon graduating in 2012, she soon began her career as a buyer, at first for an independent fashion retailer and then for a global retailer. During this time, she built a range of creative, buying, management and marketing skills, which helped her to launch her own e-commerce company in 2017. The recognition and success of this business resulted in a number guest lecturer and speaking engagements. Working with academic staff and students inspired her to pursue a career in academia, taking up a lecturing post at LBU in 2021.

Rosie enjoys bringing her industry experience and connections into a teaching setting to ensure students are equipped with skills that are appropriate and applicable to the fashion industry. She is currently writing up her dissertation for an MA in Interdisciplinary Psychology and working towards her Fellow of Higher Education award while teaching full time.
