Sarah Walji-Rahim is a Canadian trained nurse with experience across inpatient, emergency and community mental health services. She has been lecturing for the past several years within the UK at the undergrad and graduate nursing level.

Sarah Walji-Rahim is a Canadian trained nurse with experience across inpatient, emergency and community mental health services. She has been lecturing for the past several years within the UK at the undergrad and graduate nursing level.

Sarah holds a masters degree in global health. She has previously represented young nurses internationally as a board member with the global campaign Nursing Now. Sarah has presented to global audiences in Qatar, Singapore, the UK, the States etc. as well as being engaged within her local community as a mental health educator. Sarah has also participated in global healthcare service delivery in South America and the Middle East. In the past she has run for municipal, provincial and federal office fuelled by her passion in health policy and improving care. She was named as one of the top 100 women in global health.

Research interests

Interests include cultural competence in mental health service delivery, nursing education, application of AI in health and education, nursing involvement in global health governance and global health advocacy as early career professionals.
