Where to find the best brunch in Leeds

Leeds plays host to a huge number of restaurants, meaning you’ll always have your dinner sorted when you’re not in the mood to cook. But what about brunch? You’ll be glad to know that Leeds also boasts a great range of brunches for everyone, with dishes ranging from greasy fry-ups to eggs Benedict, as well as both vegan and vino-filled options.

Greasy Pig

Located in the student community of Hyde Park, not far from Headingley, the Greasy Pig is renowned for being a minimalist haven for amazing food and drink. Their signature dish ‘the Paralyser’ is great if you have the appetite, as are the many food challenges they have. Feeling something a bit lighter? They have a huge menu, containing smaller bites, vegan breakfasts, smoothies and shakes.

The New Conservatory

This stylish outfit is a great brunch location, in a cosy underground location. It also has some outside seating if you fancy watching the world go by in the city centre. Avocado and poached eggs is one of their most popular options, served on sourdough bread. They also offer traditional and vegan breakfasts.

The Lost & Found – Bottomless Brunch

If you like your brunches bottomless, then you’ll be spoilt for choice in Leeds. The Lost & Found is one of the best options, serving their Brunch & Bottomless Bubbles package for up to 2 hours on a Saturday. They have some great options, including their cornflake chicken, bruschetta and pancakes. Bubbles include Prosecco, Mimosas and Aperol Spritz.

Bottomless brunches

Brunches are great but you know what's even better? A bottomless brunch! Alongside our favourite brunch spots, we've also outlined our top 10 bottomless brunch places. Have a read below!

La Cafetiere

This restaurant-café, based between our City and Headingley campuses, has an excellent variety of food on offer. They do their best to make their Middle Eastern and Mediterranean style meals suitable for everyone, regardless of dietary requirement. Like any good café they have coffee, but they also have a great selection of teas and herbal teas too. This is a great place to visit if you enjoy healthy, hearty food.

LS6 Café

LS6 Café, named after the postcode it’s found in, is actually a close neighbour of La Cafetiere. One of the oldest independent businesses in Leeds, this café places ethics and good food at the centre of everything it does. Their dedicated brunch menu contains all sorts of treats, including the “LS6 Mammoth Breakfast”, plus vegan and vegetarian options.

Top tip: This is one of the best brunches in Leeds, but if you visit a few hours later, it’s also a fantastic spot for live music and events.

Duke’s Donuts & Coffee

Whoever said you couldn’t have doughnuts for breakfast is, frankly, wrong. Get yourself down to Duke’s Donuts in Hyde Park and order exactly what it says on the tin. They have coffee, which can come hot or iced, plus a great selection of waffles, ice cream, and of course donuts. Great for a weekend treat!

Roots and Fruits

Roots and Fruits is a plant-based café, located in the stunning Grand Arcade in Leeds city centre. Their menu is mainly vegan but does have some vegetarian options, with fairtrade coffee accompanying their tasty food, the vast majority of which is made completely from scratch. Order a vegan or vegetarian breakfast and get a complimentary coffee or pot of tea with it. In a rush? No worries - you can take out.
