Volleyball is a friendly, enthusiastic and diverse club, who welcome any level of player. Our club members work together to develop all of our players which creates a strong team spirit throughout the year. Volleyball can be played at a competitive level or you can participate in our social sessions alongside fellow Beckett students.
What equipment will I need?
- Match day tops provided.
- Appropriate training and sports attire required for weekly training sessions.
- Knee pads are required if you wish to commit to volleyball each week.

Prerequisites
The club welcome players of all levels, and provide social sessions for players new to the sport.
Social Volleyball takes place every Monday from 5pm-6pm for players of any level.
The volleyball club was awarded the Gold LBU Club Mark for 2025/26
We have been supporting students to reach their potential through the scheme since 2002. Famous alumni that have benefitted from the scheme include Lucy Bronze, Alistair Brownlee, Alex Yee, Emily Scarratt, Vicky Fleetwood, Laura Weightman and Tom Bosworth.
Leeds Beckett awards a number of sports scholarships to high performing athletes each year who are committed to upholding the values of the university and willing to represent Leeds Beckett in BUCS events. Scholarships are also awarded to those who demonstrate the ability to progress and achieve high levels of success in their chosen sports.
