The Tourism Alliance seeks to establish and maintain a favourable operating environment for all businesses involved in the delivery of tourism, particularly in England. It acts as the voice of tourism and, as reflected through it wide-encompassing membership, it speaks for businesses of all sizes across the key sectors of the tourism industry.;

The event brought together key stakeholders with the intention of highlighting the value of tourism to the British economy and of the need for continued support. During the event, Rhodri emphasised the potentially important role tourism graduates could play in reinvigorating the industry. He also took the opportunity to re-engage with industry actors who have supported the work of our School by providing internships and acting as visiting speakers. Rhodri also introduced Simon Jupp, Chair of the All Party Parliamentary Group for Hospitality and Tourism, to the work of our School.

Commenting on the event, Professor Thomas noted: “I was delighted to accept the Tourism Alliance’s invitation to attend this event and should thank Kurt Janson for organising it. It was great being back in a room full of enthusiastic industry colleagues. I am confident that our graduates will soon be joining some of them in their various workplaces.”
