Beatriz demonstrated outstanding levels of creativity throughout her studies, graduating with a first-class honours’ degree. One of the most noted and important examples of Beatriz’s creative abilities was demonstrated in the presentation she participated in to the All Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) for Faith and Society. In this presentation, Beatriz sat alongside two of her lecturers, and put forward recommendations for a National Covid Commemoration. These ideas had emerged from a second-year elective course module, celebration of culture, where Beatriz had once again impressed the team with her thoughtful and inspired ideas.

This presentation was a fantastic showcase for the school, and Beatriz expertly demonstrated the creative concept for this memorial event and also her professionalism in presenting to MPs and others. Beatriz has the ability to articulate powerful and important stories, in a manner that keeps her audiences engaged but also works in a way that brings out the best in others too. It was a stellar presentation and rightly praised by the members of the APPG present.

On receiving the award Beatriz said: "The AEME award is very important to me as I never thought I was creative enough before starting university.  And for that I just would like to thank the whole UK Centre for Events Management (UKCEM) team at Leeds Beckett University that supported, inspired, challenged, and guided me through my journey."
