UKCEM student awarded 'Most Inspirational Student' at the AEME Awards

Final year Events Management student Sasha Green has been awarded a prestigious national award for 'Most Inspirational Events Management Student' in the Association for Events Management Education (AEME) annual awards. 

Sasha has an ambition to bring about sustainable change to the events industry and to drive better work opportunities for industry newcomers. Sasha is a co-founder of Future Event Leaders, an industry initiative that connects event businesses with engaged industry newcomers and an active member of Event Grads, a network for industry newcomers and recent graduates. She also volunteers as a social media assistant for The Events Insight Podcast.

On winning the award Sasha said: "My achievements to date are testament to my hard work but I could not have achieved what I have if it wasn’t for the passion, encouragement and support from all my tutors and lecturers at the UKCEM. Being taught by a group of inspiring individuals who all have their own stories and successes in the industry has driven me to push for my own success and want to make a difference within the event industry."

Sasha was also winner of the EVCOM Realise Award 2021, a new scheme presented by EVCOM in collaboration with Events 101. This award recognised her as an emerging or aspiring event professional, with Sasha demonstrating creativity, knowledge and passion for the events industry.

Sasha has started her event career as a Senior Account Executive at Eventure, an award-winning staffing agency that is passionate about events, people and wellbeing.
