Tiled background

Having previous knowledge into supplementation and anti-doping procedures, from my previous studies, this was something I was keen to engage with and develop further, to allow me to share my passion and help others understand the importance of clean sport. Throughout the Clean Sport Educator Course, emphasis was placed on the importance of a variety of methods to provide anti-doping education, for inclusivity of all learning styles, whilst ensuring learners are actively engaged. We worked both individually and collaboratively to deliver sessions based on UKAD’s components of clean sport, as well as exploring and developing resources to share.

I feel that all athletes should have equal opportunities when it comes to training and competing, and the clean sport culture is something I believe is a really important aspect of this. Therefore, I am excited to begin educating athletes, coaches, and support staff in and around Leeds Beckett University about the importance of competing within a culture of clean sport. Within my role as a Clean Sport Educator at Leeds Beckett University, I plan to deliver sessions in an engaging and interactive way, ensuring to raise awareness surrounding anti-doping procedures and responsibilities. Sessions will align with the clean sport commitment statement published by Sport and Active Lifestyles at Leeds Beckett University, which can be found here.
