Sport Management colleagues present papers at the European Association of Sport Management conference in Paris

A team of Sport Management experts from Leeds Beckett, recently presented their research at the European Association of Sport Management (EASM) Conference in Paris. Hosted by Gustave Eiffel University, the conference, themed ‘Sport Management and Social Inclusion,’ provided a prominent platform for sharing insights and discussing the latest advancements in the field.

A group of Sport Management colleagues, Dr Jo Clarke, Dr Alex Bond, Dr Janine Partington, Dr Dan Bates and Umit Behram (PhD student) attended and presented several papers at the European Association of Sport Management (EASM) Conference in Paris from 4-6th September. 

The conference, themed ‘Sport Management and Social Inclusion’ was hosted by The Gustave Eiffel University provided a high-profile platform to share research and discuss the latest developments in sports management. 

Over 450 academics from around the world explored conference themes including: 

  • Diversity and Inclusion Issues in Sport Management
  • Sport Consumer Behaviour
  • Sport Development and Socio-Cultural Perspectives
  • Sport Governance, Sport Policy and Sport Law
  • Sport Tourism and Events
  • Strategy, Leadership and Stakeholder Management in Sport
  • Sustainability and Sport Management


The conference offered an excellent opportunity for Dan, Janine, Alex, Jo and Umit to contribute to, and learn from leading global academics in sport management.
