Celebrating success: Levi Devine awarded the Prestigious Vanessa Cotton Scholarship

Levi Devine, a final-year BA (Hons) Events Management student at Leeds Beckett, has been awarded the Vanessa Cotton Scholarship—a prestigious national award recognising emerging talent and future leaders in the events industry.

This year, MPI UK & Ireland and BCD Meetings & Events have joined forces to offer the scholarship winner a unique and exciting opportunity: a paid 18-month graduate placement at BCD Meetings & Events, beginning in September 2025. Levi will have the chance to rotate through each of the key lines of business, gaining hands-on experience and learning from some of the very best in the industry. This placement offers an immersive introduction to life inside a global meetings agency and is a major stepping stone into a thriving career in events.

BA (Hons) Events Management Course Director, Julia Calver said: "Levi’s achievement is a testament to his drive, professionalism, and passion for the industry. Throughout his time on the course, he has stood out as a proactive and engaged student, always making the most of opportunities to develop his skills and contribute to the wider events community.
