Events Management student wins Contribution to Industry award

Amélie has been a standout ambassador for the UK Centre for Events Management, making an incredible impact both academically and professionally. During her 2024 placement at UTAC Millbrook, she delivered high-profile events for national and international clients—managing operations, coordinating media, and demonstrating her professionalism every step of the way.
 
In a recent interview with Laura Sidhu, Senior Account Manager at Live Recruitment, Amélie reflected on how her industry experience sharpened both her technical and interpersonal skills—and ignited a passion for sustainability in automotive events.

Her white paper on sustainability trends was shortlisted for an academic award, and her insights on how AI is reshaping the industry received special commendation. Amélie also represented Leeds Beckett University on the international stage—travelling to Abu Dhabi for the ICCA Annual Congress and later joining ICCA’s UK & Ireland Conference as a young leader, where she championed the next generation of event professionals.
