Class of '22 celebrates success with annual awards
Leeds Law School has announced this year’s student award winners, in partnership with leading law firms across the region and further afield.
The annual prizegiving recognises student achievements, sponsored by local employers to ensure continued talent feeds into the booming legal sector in Leeds and beyond.
Celebrating the academic success of students at the Law School, achievement prizes were awarded for highest performing students in different modules, as well as recognition for the overall highest performing student across each year group. Prizes included mini pupillages and work experience at top legal firms, mentoring and career consultation opportunities, as well as cash prizes generously donated by the prize sponsors.
Dean of Leeds Law School, Professor Deveral Capps, said: “Our prize winners have worked so hard and thoroughly deserve their awards. The prizes are testament to the resounding talent and outstanding academic ability at Leeds Law School.”
Dr Martin Hendry from Virtuoso Legal, sponsor of the Intellectual Property Law Prize, explains: "Leeds Law School have proven time and time again to be at the forefront of legal education in the region, and it is an honour and privilege to support the School's continued excellence. We have been consistently amazed with the quality and roundedness of graduates coming through Leeds Law School.
