Leeds Law School 2025 graduates recognised in awards ceremony
The annual Leeds Law School awards ceremony took place on Friday 18 July, with various awards presented ahead of the Law School graduation ceremony.
The event honoured the exceptional accomplishments of students at Leeds Beckett University's Law School for the 2024/25 academic year. Prizes were distributed in over 80 categories, recognising individual excellence in various modules and the top performers in each year group, as well as contributions to the Law School and Community.
Professor Deveral Capps, Dean of Leeds Law School, remarked “Once again, our students have excelled, delivering outstanding work this year. I am continually impressed by their achievements, and these awards provide a platform to celebrate their ongoing success.”
Shanika Varga from Stowe Family Law said "Congratulations to Lilly Schofield and all the winners. A huge amount of work goes into completing a law degree, let alone at an award-winning standard. It's clear there is a huge amount of talent in Leeds Beckett Law School. I wish you all the best as you join the profession, hopefully our paths will cross in the future. Be yourselves and lean into whatever makes you stand out!"
Prize winners were rewarded with mini pupillages and placements at top legal firms, mentoring and career consultation opportunities, as well as cash prizes.
