*An ECR / PGR is defined as Postgraduate Research Student (PGR) - a current university student who has completed an undergraduate degree and is engaged in independent, original research, typically leading to a Masters or Doctoral qualification. Early Career Researcher (ECR) - someone who has completed a Doctoral degree within the last three years, is in the initial stages of their academic or research career, and is focusing on establishing independence, publishing, and securing research funding.
