Victoria Aggar is a British parasport athlete who represented Great Britain in both athletics and rowing, achieving success at the highest level of international competition. She won 100m gold in athletics before transitioning to rowing, where she secured two World Championship titles and a bronze medal at the Beijing 2008 Paralympic Games as part of the mixed coxed four.
Victoria studied Physical Education at Leeds Beckett University, graduating in 2001, and began her career in sport during her time here. She went on to be named among the ‘Top 20 Most Influential Women in British Sport’ and, following her competitive career, has held a number of leadership roles, including Athlete Services Manager at the British Paralympic Association and positions with UK Sport, the English Institute of Sport, and the Athletics Integrity Unit. She is also an advocate for clean sport, working with UK Anti-Doping and the World Anti-Doping Agency, and previously served as Chair of the British Athletes Commission.
Victoria was awarded an honorary doctorate in Sport Science at Leeds Beckett University recognising both her sporting achievements and her continued contribution to the development and integrity of sport.
