Additional country specific requirements

A police check issued by the Hong Kong police is called a Certificate of No Criminal Conviction. To receive a CNCC, you will need to send a request letter issued from the DBS team to support the purpose of the application. This is a fundamental requirement of the Hong Kong Police force and you will not be able to receive your CNCC without it.

The letter issued by the DBS Team will contain the applicant’s name and clearly states that a CNCC is required for your studies. The letter will also include the postal address of the university as the application result will be directly sent to them by registered mail.

The DBS Check that you will be required to undertake when you arrive in the UK requires an ID Check. Please note if you have more than 3 middle names, or your middle names appear as initials on your ID documents, this ID Check will need to be carried out on-site at Leeds Beckett University by the DBS Team.

You should contact DBS@Leedsbeckett.ac.uk to arrange this before your course starts.

Malaysian applicants must request a ‘introduction letter’ from the DBS team, stating the requirement of certificate for their studies. The letter issued will contain the applicant’s name and clearly states that an overseas police check is required for your studies. The letter will also include the postal address of the university.
