Legal eagles of the future recognised at Leeds Beckett awards ceremony
Leeds Law School recently celebrated the remarkable academic achievements of its students with its annual award ceremony, held on Thursday July 18th at Broadcasting Place, in collaboration with leading law firms from across the UK.
The event honoured the exceptional accomplishments of students at Leeds Beckett University's Law School for the 2023/24 academic year. Prizes were distributed in over 80 categories, recognising individual excellence in various modules and the top performers in each year group.
Professor Deveral Capps, Dean of Leeds Law School, remarked, “Once again, our students have excelled, delivering outstanding work this year. I am continually impressed by their achievements, and these awards provide a platform to celebrate their ongoing success.”
Matthew Dunn from Minster Law was pleased to present Rebecca Wilson with the Minster Law Prize for the Best Performing CILEx Student. He said: “Congratulations to Rebecca and all the other winners. The academic excellence, hard work and sheer talent of students at Leeds Beckett’s Law School was clear for all to see. Wishing all students every success as they enter the industry – shine bright.”
Prize winners were rewarded with mini pupillages and placements at top legal firms, mentoring and career consultation opportunities, as well as cash prizes.
